The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges.

Charitable nonprofit NDAD — the North Dakota Association for the Disabled — was founded 50 years ago by concerned citizens for the purpose of assisting people with disabilities and health challenges in the state of North Dakota, many of whom were ineligible for services from other agencies. NDAD’s reach also includes border communities in surrounding states. NDAD offers direct financial assistance, health care equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

Expanded Sensory Programming at Kalix in Rolla Made Possible by NDAD

NDAD has awarded $7,300 through its Adaptive Recreation Grant program to Kalix’s Day Habilitation program in Rolla, North Dakota. The funding will support the creation of a dedicated sensory room and quiet space, helping expand adaptive recreation opportunities for people with disabilities in the Rolla community.
