The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges.

Charitable nonprofit NDAD — the North Dakota Association for the Disabled — was founded 50 years ago by concerned citizens for the purpose of assisting people with disabilities and health challenges in the state of North Dakota, many of whom were ineligible for services from other agencies. NDAD’s reach also includes border communities in surrounding states. NDAD offers direct financial assistance, health care equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

ABLE, Inc. Expands Inclusive Recreation Through Adaptive Tricycles with NDAD Grant

NDAD has awarded a $5,500 Adaptive Recreation Grant to ABLE, Inc. of Dickinson to support the purchase of adaptive recreational tricycles for its ICF/IDD Group Homes. The new tricycles will provide safe, inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals who are unable to independently ride a traditional bicycle.
