“Years ago, I needed a wheelchair,” recalls Betty Gerving of Bismarck, ND. “Fortunately, I was able to borrow one from the NDAD office in Minot. I even used it on my vacation.” At the time, Minot was the closest NDAD location to Betty. But years later, after undergoing ankle surgery, she found herself needing medical equipment again—this time for a short-term recovery.
Through a donation from NDAD, a VertaCat mobility cart is now available at King’s Walk Golf Course—opening the door for individuals with limited mobility to experience the game in a new and meaningful way.
