The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges.

Charitable nonprofit NDAD — the North Dakota Association for the Disabled — was founded 50 years ago by concerned citizens for the purpose of assisting people with disabilities and health challenges in the state of North Dakota, many of whom were ineligible for services from other agencies. NDAD’s reach also includes border communities in surrounding states. NDAD offers direct financial assistance, health care equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

NDAD Grant Expands Inclusive Equine Experiences Through Hoof It Forward’s Every Body Rides Project

NDAD has awarded Hoof It Forward of Fort Rice, North Dakota, a $5,000 Adaptive Recreation Grant to support its Every Body Rides Project. The funding will help expand safety and accessibility for equine assisted services by ensuring participants of all abilities and ages can fully engage through Hoof It Forward’s Mobile Extension Unit.
