Two fundraising events are in Williston in early December to help area resident Carolyn DeMeyer.

The first, a gift basket silent auction, was held Sat., Dec. 5, at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Thanks to everyone who participated in that event, including the following businesses who donated to the auction:
  • Ace Hardware
  • Handy Andy’s
  • Elite Designz
  • Elite Health and Fitness
  • Cherry Creek Media
  • Avon representative Angela Cortwright
  • Boom Town Babes Espresso
  • Jackie's Wellness Spa
  • WCCU
  • Pampered Chef representative Karen Wagner
  • Melaleuce representative Lori Philbrick
  • Eagle Ridge Golf Course
The second, a drive-thru lunch, will be held on Sat., Dec. 12, starting at noon and continuing until the food is gone at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2517 Ninth Ave. W. Cost is $5 per person or a freewill offering.

A longtime transport company employee who drives railroad workers, Carolyn currently is unable to work following seven surgeries on her knees and jaw within the past two years. Most of the surgeries were not covered by insurance.

Carolyn also lives with the challenges of polyarthritis, COPD, celiac disease and some paralysis on her left side.

Known as a woman with a lot of heart because of her generosity and giving nature, Carolyn now can use your help.
