The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges.

Charitable nonprofit NDAD — the North Dakota Association for the Disabled — was founded 50 years ago by concerned citizens for the purpose of assisting people with disabilities and health challenges in the state of North Dakota, many of whom were ineligible for services from other agencies. NDAD’s reach also includes border communities in surrounding states. NDAD offers direct financial assistance, health care equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

A Lifeline on the Road: Ruben’s Journey with NDAD

Ruben lives with chronic renal failure, which requires dialysis three times a week. The nearest dialysis unit is in Dickinson—two hours away from his home. But, thanks to NDAD’s medical travel assistance, Ruben and his family aren’t facing this travel alone.
